Reading books with the Pomodoro technique
Reading books with the Pomodoro technique is a way to increase concentration and reading efficiency, especially for books with heavy content or taking a long time to read. This method reduces fatigue and increases understanding of the content.
How to read books with the Pomodoro technique
1. Prepare books and equipment
• Choose the book you want to read.
• Prepare a timer device, such as a watch, smartphone, or Pomodoro app.
2. Set a reading goal.
• Specify the number of pages or topics to read in one period (for example, 10-20 pages).
• Record your goals so that you can measure the results after each round.
3. Set a timer for 25 minutes.
• Read books with full concentration. Do not turn on your phone or other distractions.
• Use the time appropriate to your reading pace.
4. Take a 5-minute break.
• After 25 minutes, rest your eyes, stretch, drink water, or take a walk.
• Do not use your mobile phone during the break to allow your brain to truly rest.
5. Repeat 4 times.
• When you have completed 4 rounds (total 2 hours), take a long break for 15-30 minutes.
• Use this break to review or summarize the content you have read.
