“Don’t choose a faculty because you’re afraid of falling out of the group.”
Find yourself before choosing a faculty = Find the right life
“Choosing a faculty… isn’t about grades
but about understanding yourself… in the most honest way.”
I’ve seen many high school seniors
studying science but love drawing
wanting to be a doctor but not daring to say that they love acting
Some people apply to the same faculty as their friends because they don’t want to “fall out of the group.”
This is the trap of the word ‘fear of losing face’
but it causes many people to lose their future
Don’t search for a faculty… without searching for yourself
Don’t apply for anything yet if you can’t answer these 3 questions:
What kind of life do we want to live in the next 10 years?
What kind of job can I do that doesn’t force myself?
If grades weren’t a limitation…what would we choose?
No one can answer these questions, not parents, friends, or teachers... "Only you yourself can answer them."
For parents,
Your child may not know what they want to be yet.
But they are "daring to think", which is more important than "daring to choose" immediately.
The best thing the family can do now is to "listen", not "order".
Change from "choose well" to "no matter what you choose, your parents are always by your side".
Children who know "what they don't want to be" are getting closer to the word "yes".
For teachers,
Some students will not dare to talk about their goals to their family.
But they dare to talk to the teacher, where they feel safe.
The teacher may not have the answer for them.
But just the teacher "dare to listen without judging" is enough.
To summarize directly:
"Scores" are something to use for exams.
But "understanding yourself" is something you need for your whole life.
Don't choose a faculty because you're afraid of falling out of the group.
But choose because it is truly "our path".
